Nick Richardson
Nick brings a wide range of experience in organizational leadership with a focus on finance, strategy, and governance. Prior to joining Open Space Institute in 2023, Nick spent over ten years at the Vermont Land Trust, including six years as its President & CEO. Nick has deep project finance and management experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency, with a focus on early-stage ventures. Nick received his MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, and his B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. Nick has served on a number of Boards and is currently the Treasurer of VEIC, a leading national decarbonization NGO that implements Efficiency Vermont. Nick’s early career focused on education reform and youth workforce development in Boston; the McClure Foundation gives him a unique opportunity to draw on that experience in service to Vermont.
